Lose the Weight Back to Basics
We’ve heard of all types of diets throughout the years with some having better weight loss results than others. The truth is that most of these fad diets are a quick fix, but do they really work in the long run? You might lose weight fast but if you cheat, you could gain the weight back twice as fast and have to start all over again. You hear it everywhere you go, “I’m cutting down on carbs”. This seems to be the newest craze, but the truth is that these diets are not healthy for you!
There are numerous prepackaged meals, prescriptions, workout plans and many other techniques offered by companies looking to make a profit out of your desperation. The funny part about the whole thing is that none of these companies would have the chance to rob you if you were aware of a better alternative. You are wasting your money if you are buying prepackaged diet meals or even going to popular diet classes because these are not the answer to staying thin and healthy. If these techniques have helped you lose weight, you’re probably suffering from denying your body the food and nutrition it needs or even worse putting yourself at risk for becoming ill. Well people, the “diet” I’m going to propose is something that everyone I know has laughed at, including my own mother! I know it works because I did it myself and have now maintained a healthy weight for four years.
We need to go back to basics. Our environment is so fast-paced these days that many people don’t take the time to cook healthy dinners or prepare a good lunch for work or school. We live life on the fly and as the result; America is getting chubbier and chubbier by the minute. We get lost and end up consuming a huge amount of chemicals by eating what I like to refer to as “empty food” or “trash food”. This is the food you eat that makes you feel heavy, gassy and regretful and 30 minutes later you’re starving again. You should feel energetic and fulfilled after eating a meal if you give your body and mind the fuel that they are craving.
Do you know someone who is over-weight but you can’t imagine why because you see them eating salads and fruit half the time? This is a great example. This person should be thinner and healthy, right? Perhaps they have a thyroid problem that they don’t talk about or a midnight eating frenzy behind closed doors. Maybe it’s the pesticides. Plenty of overweight people make a conscious decision to eat well and become healthy by consuming the four food groups and staying away from snacks. To most, this would seem like a logical approach, but there’s something big missing here.
The answer was right under our noses the whole time.
